Isola dei Nuraghi Igt
The Meeting of Two Great Sardinian Grape Varieties Giommaria is born from the union of Cagnulari and Cannonau, two of Sardinia’s most representative indigenous grape varieties. A blend that expresses balance, elegance and a profound sense of place, giving life to an intense, refined wine of remarkable character.
The name Giommaria is a tribute to the family’s heritage. It was the signature with which Giovanni Maria Cherchi concluded the letters he wrote to his mother during his military service. A simple yet deeply meaningful gesture, now
preserved as a symbol of belonging, affection and continuity between past and future.

Vinification: The grapes are carefully selected, destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place with an extended skin maceration at a controlled temperature of approximately 25°C. The wine is initially aged in stainless steel tanks and subsequently for approximately 12 months in oak barriques, completing its maturation with a further period of bottle ageing.
Organoleptic Characteristics:
Deep ruby red in colour, Giommaria stands out for an elegant and complex
aromatic profile. The bouquet reveals notes of morello cherry and black cherry, enriched by refined
balsamic and spicy nuances, with delicate hints of cocoa, liquorice and subtle toasted notes. On the
palate it is rich, harmonious and well-balanced. Freshness and savoury minerality support a
structured body, while soft, perfectly integrated tannins lead to a long, persistent and highly elegant finish.
